Dr Joshua Adedokun
Dr Adedokun qualified as a medical doctor in 1990, and became a Fellow of the College of Anaesthetists, Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2004. He was granted a Fellowship by the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2009.
Dr Adedokun was appointed as a Consultant in Anaesthetics and Pain Medicine at the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust in May 2007.
His private consulting rooms are at the Spire Manchester Hospital, BMI The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, BMI The Beaumont Hospital in Bolton, and BMI The Beardwood Hospital in Blackburn, where he offers treatment for a wide range of chronic pain conditions. He is actively involved in Foundation and Higher Specialist Pain training. He is a Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Observational Pain Medicine.
Chronic Pain Management
Dr Adedokun has experience in a wide range of chronic pain conditions such as musculoskeletal pain syndrome, complex regional pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, whiplash/whiplash associated disorder (WAD) and complex headaches.
Dr Adedokun’s varied interests include management of neuropathic pain, especially complex regional pain syndrome, trigeminal neuralgia, fibromyalgia and other musculoskeletal pain syndromes. He also has a special interest and expertise in radiofrequency techniques for spinal and non-spinal pains.
